WHAT is a ptso?
OUR MISSION
The HLS PTSO is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. Our mission as a Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) at Highland Lakes School is to promote and encourage communication between parents, students, teachers, administration and the community. The PTSO also sponsors and organizes fundraising and school events, which deepen our community spirit and enrich our children's educational, social, and developmental experiences at Highland Lakes. We are an entirely volunteer-led organization and serve over 1200 students.
No membership dues!
We are a PTSO and not part of the state or national PTA organizations which means we do not have to require memberships or dues. This gives us more flexibility but also can make it more difficult to get people involved.
All students, parents, teachers and staff are automatically part of the HLS PTSO.
All your donations of time or items are tax deductible.
OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Each year we have been able to add more and more to the list of ways we have been able to make HLS a better school.
